§ 20-3. Refuse receptacles; generally.

  • All receptacles for refuse to be collected and disposed of by the employees of the town in accordance with this chapter shall be metal or plastic water-tight, with handles and covers. The covers shall be tight-fitting so as to prevent spilling, the scattering of refuse by dogs, the escape of odors and the attraction of flies and other insects. The size of the receptacle shall be a minimum of ten gallons and a maximum of 39 gallons. There shall be no limit to the number of regulation receptacles that may be used by a person.
