§ 20-2. Duties of town manager; generally.

  • The town manager, in order to protect the health and safety of the people of the town, shall, by implementing and enforcing the provisions of this chapter, control the collection and disposal of refuse within the town and the vicinity thereof. He shall provide a public refuse collection service from premises, so that the usual type and quantity of refuse can be safely and expeditiously handled by the service. He shall regulate the establishment, maintenance and operation of refuse disposal methods and sites.
